Stud Males

As a boutique alpaca stud, we have selected a small number of superior genetics to breed with. To become a stud male at Dulce Alpacas the macho must have been shown successfully, have a good temperament, good confirmation and possess qualities that will improve our herd.

All our Machos are certified by veterinarians and have their DNA registered with the Australian Alpaca Association. This is vital to us, as the eAlpaca Register provides guaranteed provenance for export and its Linebreeding Calculator helps prevent cumulative inbreeding of alpacas in a finite gene pool.

Bombora has an upstanding and correct frame. He has a broad nose and holds a ultra-fine, soft handling fleece. He also exhibits a dense fleece with a long staple length.

His sire, Millduck Stringy Bark, needs no introduction having won 21 broad ribbons including Reserve Champion Intermediate Male and Best Brown at the AAA National Show in 2016.
